To Gain Control Of Your Life: Get Control Of Yourself!

Life becomes increasingly difficult when we have not learned to take control our own thoughts, impulses, desires, and actions.

Once we learn and apply this self discipline to our lives we will be surprised at how much easier and enjoyable our lives truly could have been all along.

To get control of yourself you must submit your will to what you know is right (in the sight of God). Therein lies the problem most of us face.

Giving up control to get control.

We must recognize that our view is almost totally from the inside looking out, never from the outside looking inward, and at best if we are able to be objective enough and come close to seeing from both perspectives, we still filter everything we see through our own prejudices.

We need an outside objective, brutally honest perspective of ourselves, so that we can truly see who we are and what the shortcomings are that needs to be addressed. Once this is done. we must act doing what we know is right even though it will feel very uncomfortable because the path is new and unfamiliar.

But eventually it will become familiar and start to become increasingly comfortable and enjoyable and you will soon be living the life you've always dreamed of. You then will be in control of your life because you have gained control of yourself be yielding your will to the righteousness of God.

However just consider this... You are still alive and headed somewhere.

The question is where are you going?
You have the power (despite how powerless you may feel) to change your destiny.

Are you headed towards your vision or wandering through life without a purpose or without a goal? From today onward vow that whatever path does not lead toward your vision, you will eliminate from your walk.

Becoming Who You Are

There is no doubt about the fact that our time here on this earth is brief. As I get older I am reminded of that fact daily, as I am privy to, and witness the illness and deaths of family and friends. It is always  a sobering reminder of whats really important.

Whats most important are the people you love. Remember to make them a priority in your life. Love them now. Give to them now. Spend time with them now. Because tomorrow might be too late.

Next to the people in your life; is yourself. How much of your time are your spending with yourself? Are you really doing what you are "called" to do? Why not? What excuses are you giving yourself? Who are you blaming for your present condition? What is it thats stopping you from being the person you really want to be? In short, the answer is YOU!

Purpose today to become the person that God has intended you to be. If you don't know; then ask him and keep on asking until you get an answer. And when you do get the answer just do it! Without hesitation... do it! Without reservation... do it! And you WILL be successful, because you are operating with your gifts and talents in the place where you are supposed to be.

***Heres a secret, Becoming whole usually doesn't involved starting many new things; it is simply a matter of letting go old things that have been hindering and holding you down for years. so let go and become who you are.
