HOW TO REACH YOUR GOALS IN THE NEW YEAR

As we start a new year, most of us will make resolutions and set some goals we would like to fulfill... and while many will put these ideas down and say it pointless because most people do not stick to their resolutions and goals, it is still an excellent way to start off your new year.

Remember to always have SMART goals because it will always allow you to see your progess and Identify the need for adjustments.

PLANNING IS GOOD

As we know that failing to plan is akin to planning to fail, then we must make plans for our future this year... here are 4 easy tips to help you get started and keep you on the right path.

1. You must get rid of everything that isn't important.
This is challenging, not only can it be difficult to delete things, tasks, and people from your life; it is equally difficult identifying what those things and who those people are. but it must be done. When you say "YES" to one thing you automatically say "NO" to another thing simply because you can't be in two places at once. Say "YES" to the thing that is most important, be single minded and stay focused on it no matter what else comes your way.

ASK THE QUESTIONS

2. Do I really need that or need to do that?
As you ask yourself this question with an honest answer you will find that most of the things you thought were needs are not needed at all.

3. Is this what God wants me to be doing at this time?
You must know what it is that you should be doing. But thats not enough; timing is everything! You have to find yourself in the right place, doing the right thing, at the right time or you will miss the opportunity to accomplish what you are trying to do.

4. Does what I am currently doing help to advance the pursuit of my present goals?
This is how you know what you should be dong. This is your road map and your compass. It will show you where to go and show you when you are going off course.

I wish you much success in the new year... Remember: You must never ever quit!
