Pain

Everyone will experience pain in a relationship. But we must remember that pain is indicative that there is something very wrong. IF YOU ARE EXPERIENCING PAIN OR CAUSING PAIN TO SOMEONE YOU LOVE, KNOW THAT YOU MUST STOP IT IMMEDIATELY. Because, the longer it goes on, the greater separation it will cause between you and the one you love. And remember that where there is pain there is very little room for love.

What to look for in a relationship

(CLICK TO LISTEN)

This Week's Topic: What to look for in a relationship

In this session: What to consider in your next relationship.

The bible says that we are body, soul, and spirit. Therefore I truly believe that in order to have the optimum relationship your friend should compliment you in all three dimensions.

So often I find that friends only connect to on one or two levels. This not only leaves a void in your life, but also leaves room for another person to enter in to your relationship to meet the needs that are not being met because of that void.

Each week Pastor Rick Greene talks in detail about Dating, Love, Marriage, Sex, and Divorce so that you can be armed with all of the insight you need to have the optimum relationship which God intended you to have. How to build up and not tear down. How to strengthen and not destroy. How to have great a Relationship with the man or woman in your life. If you would like to be a guest call 972-Metro-TV. If you would like to ask a question email them to relationships@metrochristianmedia.com. Or if you would like to listen to the live show Saturdays at 11pm call 646-652-2581.

We look at the lack of affection, conflict avoidance, the fear of commitment, Isolation from friends and family, unhealthy emotional ties to parents, distrust and dependency.

These issue are possible warning signs that there is an issue that needs attention. Please seek the consul of your pastor or some other source of professional or trusted help, talk it over, get it out in the open before you commit to a life long relationship with your friend.

Ending A Relationship

A Review of  Warning signs and How To End A Relationship

This is a review of a previous talk that we've had with regard to Marriage Preparation; Are you content with yourself? Have you observed any warning signs "Red Flags" that why indicate that you or your friend might not be ready for marriage?

Temperaments to consider are Spiritual, Emotional, some Character traits, and Interpersonal skills. We look at how to address them and, ultimately if you have determined that these warning signs are present, and you might have some reservations, which is perfectly OK and normal, how to proceed and if necessary how to end your relationship with your friend.

As stated previously these are all telltale signs that you or your friend is probably NOT ready for a marital relationship. Please seek the help and guidance of your pastor before you even say, "I will" and definitely before you say, "I Do".

Let me also say that if you have not taken wedding vows you are under NO OBLIGATION  to proceed in,  nor advance you relationship to marriage. Being friends no matter how close: IS NOT A LIFE LONG COMMITMENT. Ultimately you must do what is best for you to go forward and fulfill the destiny the God has for you.
